Lately I've been thinking a lot about the importance of being credible. I've got a book coming out in a couple of weeks (more on this in a few weeks) where one of the fundamental rules of being a great leader is being credible. I've met way too many people in my career who treated credibility as if it was something purchased out of a dime store. They felt that credibility was assumed versus demonstrated. Too many of those folks ended up being marginal leaders because their team didn't think they earned the right to be followed through established credibility.
For the next three issues I am going
to give you three nuggets on mastering credibility with this first
issue entitled It's What You
